When travelling from the south of the
island head towards Foxdale (A3) up the Ballamodha. Proceed through Foxdale and
through Lower Foxdale. Take a left turn onto the A40 sign posted St Johns/Peel.
Proceed along this road with the sawmill on your right. Then take the next left,
the Patrick road (A30). Ballaspit is exactly half a mile on this road, on the
left.
When travelling from Douglas along the TT course to
Ballacraine and continue straight ahead through the traffic lights to St Johns.
Turn left at the Tynwald Hill (A40). Travel down this road and take the next
right turn after the Farmer’s Arms Pub.
From the north proceed down the
TT course to Ballacraine traffic lights and turn right to St Johns. Turn left at
the Tynwald Hill (A40). When travelling from Peel proceed along the A1 to St
Johns. At St Johns turn right at the Tynwald Hill (A40). Travel down this road
and take the next right turn after the Farmer’s Arms Pub.
After turning
right at the Farmer’s Arm proceed along this road for exactly half a mile.
The
entrance to the venue is on the left where a camping sign is on the white gate
posts. No cars allowed past this entrance. The venue is up the lane to the
farmhouse. The gate to the venue is on the left-hand side of the farmhouse.
Terrain
The terrain includes trees, a stream, farmland and a steep
slagheap. This can be very unforgiving for beginners. Occasionally the farmland
is used for section, which is more rider friendly.
Parking and Accessibility
Parking is now restricted to the venue side of the main
road for both spectators and competitors. Riders must ride up to the venue.
Spectators have an uphill climb to the venue and once there depending on where
the sections are situated it can be quite a trek.
