Trials Rules

A trial is a competition of skillful balanced riding over numerous observed sections.

Flags

blue on left, red on right
Yellow on left, green on right (clubman)
Silver ( Sportsman)
Always follow blue and red until you see a diversion for your class.
Start - Once the the front wheel spindle has passed the section start gate.
Finish - Once the the front wheel spindle has passed the section end gate.
Practising - Practising on sections before the event is prohibited and can lead to disqualification.

Solo Trials

Scoring:
0 - Clean
Clean is when a rider rides the whole section without any penalties.
1 - Footing or Stopping once
2 - Footing or Stopping twice
3 - Footing or Stopping more than twice
Footing is when any part of a rider’s body touches the ground or an obstacle without stopping.
Stopping is when the bikes ceases forward motion and comes to a complete stop.
5 - Fail
Fail :
The bike moves backwards
The rider doesn’t have both hands on the handlebars while footing at a complete stop.
The engine stalls while any part of the bike (except tyres )or rider are touching the ground.
The rider moves the wheels side wards without forward motion.
The rider dismounts.- Both feet on the same side or behind the bike.
The rider is requested to leave the section by the observer.
The rider goes outside of the marker flags.
The rider displaces a marker flag.
The rider travels against the direction of the section.
The rider or machine receives outside assistance.
The rider or a person involved with the rider alters the section.

Solo None-Stop Trials

Scoring:
0 - Clean

The rider travels against the direction of the section.
The rider or machine receives outside assistance.
The rider or a person involved with the rider alters the section.
